For the safety of your youth, and their belongings we feel these rules need to be in place. Also, many of the trips taken this summer will require a small amount of money. We do not want to keep a child from attending because money is an issue. If money is an issue for your child there are plenty of opportunities for your youth to work for the money. You can also contact Pastor Justin justin@rockfordbaptist.org  with questions or concerns.

WE WANT EVERY YOUTH TO BE INVOLVED. We encourage your youth to come to youth group prepared for the activities. We are also asking for some responsibility from the youth to bring some of the food for activities. The boys will need to bring pop; the girls bring chips or dessert. The youth will be informed when they need to bring swim suits or food to events.

Listed below are items we ask your youth to follow for ALL youth events

  • Electronics – Cell phones are discouraged. If you bring a cell phone it must be put on silent or off. No iPods or Mp3 players. We don’t want them getting stolen or left behind so just don’t bring them. No PDA. Youth group is a time for learning about God, and building unity with other kids, so we encourage students to use discernment with their boyfriends or girlfriends. If needed a sponsor will talk with the couple about it.

  • Dress Appropriately – (GIRLS) Skirts & shorts must be fingertip length when standing or longer; No shirts that show your stomach; No bra straps showing please. Please wear one piece swim suits, or if a two piece the top must touch the bottom. Clothes will be provided if your child does not meet these standards. We want youth group to be comfortable for everyone. (BOYS) You must wear a shirt to youth group. Wear modest swim shorts please.

  • Youth Group Events – No leaving during the session. If you come to youth group, you must stay for the whole time. You will not be allowed to leave unless we have your parents’ permission. If you choose to leave, your parent or guardian will be notified. You will also have to sign a form stating that you left and at what time you are leaving. Do not walk home after dusk; a leader can always give you a ride.
